I was looking at a few pictures of myself and my nose looks HUGE in all of them.
Do you guys have any makeup tricks that create the illusion of a small, thinner nose?Makeup tricks to create the illusion of a smaller nose?
Contour.
You can shade the sides of your nose with a matte bronzer. if it has shimmer, it reflects light which defeats the purpose.
Then highlight the bridge of your nose. :)
Its kinda like this.
Darker colors gives the illusion things are smaller.
So when u put the bronzer on the sides of your nose, it makes your nose look smaller. The highlighter on the bridge of your nose helps making your nose look narrow.Makeup tricks to create the illusion of a smaller nose?
I am a Makeup Artist.
If you鈥檙e reading this article, you were probably not born with the perfect little button nose like Drew Barrymore or a sultry thin nose like Angelina Jolie. If your nose is more along the lines of Barbara Streisand or Howard Stern then it鈥檚 important to learn different types of tricks to draw the attention away from your nose and give the perception that your nose is smaller. Here are a few tips to help you get a smaller nose:
1 Use make-up to create shadows and make your nose appear smaller. To slim your nose, take a slightly darker foundation and apply to the sides of your nose and mix well with your fingers. For a larger bridge, apply the darker foundation down the center of your nose and mix well. This will make your bridge look smaller.
2 Play up the other features on your face. Apply dramatic eye make up, blush your high cheekbones, and accentuate your lips. Your goal is to draw the attention to your eyes and lips and away from the center of your face.
3. Find a nice haircut that compliments your face shape, and does not draw attention to the center of your face. For instance, straight bangs tend to draw more attention to your nose. Try to stick with side or long bangs. Speak with your hairdresser and see what they recommend for your face type.
Hey!
The best way to make your nose look smaller is really quick and effective if you get it right - highlight it!
Use some kind of light reflecting highlighter (like Benefit's Moon beam and High beam, or similar products) and place a line of it down the centre of your nose from between your brows to tip. Blend it in so it's not a line of product obvs, but concentrate on highlighting the bone in your nose.
If you use foundation make sure you always use the right shade for you, but if you want to maybe 'sculpt' your nose a little bit, mix some of your foundation with a shade that is one or two shades darker and softly dab and blend it on to the sides of your nose.
Make sure you moisturize as well to avoid any major colour patches!
Blending is key!
Have a look on various make up sites etc and see what other tips you can pick up!
xoxo hope I helped.
Contouring, my dear, that is what all the celebrities %26amp; makeup artists do (Beyonce %26amp; Rihanna both use contouring, for example). There is an EXCELLENT video on contouring on YouTube- just search for ';EnKore contouring'; to find it. EnKore is a real makeup artist %26amp; he explains contouring step by step, tells you which products you can use, %26amp; he makes it very simple to understand. You won't believe what a difference contouring makes!!
Put a highlighting powder on the bridge of your nose. Works wonders!
(Like a white powdery product, sometimes they aren't powder) Just go to sephora and ask for a good highlighting formula. MAC actually has a really good one!
Good luck hun! xx
