What are your best makeup tips/tricks/secrets?

it can be for anything....! just wondering :]What are your best makeup tips/tricks/secrets?
For really black eyeliner, heat the tip of a kohl pencil till it melts by holding it CLOSE TO, but never ON, your straightener or a lighter, and then applying.

For eye makeup that won't run, dust on face powder over where you're going to put it first. Or just use a primer.

For really red zits that ordinary concealer just won't hide, pat some green concealer or green eyeshadow over it before you put your regular concealer or foundation on.

Eye shadows with a slight sparkle to them look polished and professional. Eye shadows with too much sparkle look cheap and little-girlish.

Oil blotting sheets are your friends if you have oily skin.

Apply mascara while looking down into a hand mirror, so that your eyes are pointing down as opposed to the regular one where you're looking straight.

Better lighting = Better makeup. What are your best makeup tips/tricks/secrets?
I use babyoil to remove my makeup.. it works like a charm and its cheaper then the eye makeup remover brands they sell.

Also if your dark skinned (tan, olive, medium brown colors) use concelor to cover up uneven skin patches and then use a powder mineral for even coverage.. it leaves your skin flawless

Always wash your face before you apply makeup and always put a cream base moistorizer before applying your makeup

if you start to buy anti aging products for your skin now your less likley to develop wrinkles when your older.. its true! it was on the Tyra Banks show! the earlier the better, even if you dont have wrinkels its best to do it before you start!

always buy concelor lighter then the eneven coloring of your skin

Always remove your makeup at night time!

Wash your face morning and night with neutrogena or acne face wash.. it makes your skin flawless!

Honey mixed with lemon is suppose to help even out your skin tone over a period of time.. also honey mixed with cinimen in addition to your conditioner lightens your hair! it really does work i tryed it!
I use olive oil to remove make up and to moisturize my face

I use mosturizer mixed in with my foundation. I blot my foundation instead of rubbing for maximum coverage. I use natural colors like light brown/ skin colors for my lips so they look larger (you can't really see your natural lip line, so it seems to go on forever).
I use a business card behind my lashes when applying mascara. That way I can really extend them without getting ink on the lid!
Mascara:

You need a good routine:

1.) Comb your lashes while they're still wet with an eyelash comb. They're inexpensive; I found mine at Traget for two dollars.

2.) Curl your lashes for about 5 minutes with an eyelash curler. These are also common and affordable, mine was 4 bucks.

3.) Apply a primer. These are a bit harder to find, and a tad more expensive. I use Clinique's because it has natural conditioners and healthy proteins that help build lashes. It also preps your lashes by separating them and enhancing your mascara.

4.) Apply one coat of a healthy mascara. I suggest Neutrogena Healthy Volume. It's about 8 dollars and you can find it at Wal-Mart, Target, etc.

5.) Re-curl and re-apply if necessary.
exfoliate once a week

duo color eyeshadow must =)

always put makeup on your neck to match your face
homemade scrub:

it's 3 spoon fulls of brown sugar, and milk and stir it and scrub your face! there's no exact amount of sugar or milk i just do however much i need. (i got this idea in a magazine.)

for eye lashes:

before curling your eyelashes take the curler and get a hot blow dryer and heat it for about 30 seconds and curl your eyelashes like you usually would (then put your mascara on). the heated eyelash curler acts like a curling iron and keeps your eyelashes curled all day.

some other tips..

when you wash your face wash it with your fingertips with the face wash in little circular motions.

if you put lotion on your face always apply it bottom to top!

:)
