I have a very wide face, big brown eyes. I know that there are tricks to make your face look a bit different, does anyone know what would make my face look a bit narrower? How do I make my face look less wide using makeup tricks?
Some people r so mean, the trick is really to acknowlege the shape, souns like your face is in the shape of tiffany amber theissen (saved by the bell), the olsen twins, the ricci girl ( not nicole richie), but the one from sleepy hollow, i'm african american and i think those girls faces r BEAUTIFUL b/c the shape is so unique, sounds like an apple shape face, what u dont want to do is get a chin length bob, but the trick is in the CUT and style of your hair, look at the celebrities i listed and find some hair books like sophisticated hair to find a style that is suitable for your face, i think your face shape is unique, i have an oval face and i use to HATE it when growing up, boys called me long face lol, but now i always get compliments on how pretty i am, i found out that oval faces can wear any type of hair style and i've worn them all, i'm just not brave enuf 2 cut it all off, hope i helped, it helps to show a pic if u r brave enough, GOOD LUCKHow do I make my face look less wide using makeup tricks?
A darker shade of your foundation (or blush) on your cheekbones makes your face a little thinner.
Accentuate it! Go with it! It's cute.
But...if you really don't like it, use a slightly darker foundation on the sides of your face and around your hair line, blend well into your regular foundation. Darker foundation on the areas you don't want attention is a trick all makeup artists use, but it takes practice. Don't go too dark, you probably wont notice much difference looking in the mirror but it is a visual trick like wearing verticle stripes opposed to horizontal.
Curling your eyelashes can also help draw attention to the center of your face. Use blush only on your cheekbones and brush towards your hair line, don't use it on the apples of your cheeks.
You can also do you hair differently. More volume on top, and layers around your cheeks and chin will help along with shoulder length hair. Straight hair will make your face look longer, curly hair will make it look wider.
i think you can do something with blush ........ but try going to the TLC web site and see what Carmendy has to say :)
use some dark colors ...i mean ...some thing in golden brown ....and the blush with a touch of brown...
Yes, blush is the answer. Make sure to brush it along your cheekbones so that it angles slightly up towards the tops of your ears.
get bronzer and a big fluffly brush. go around the outer part of your face. around your hairline, down your jaw line, and under your chin. blend really well. with the same bronzer go UNDER your cheek bones. use a highlighter on the middle of your face and on your cheek bones. if bronze is too dark, you did not mention your skin tone, use a powder that's 2 to 3 shades darker then normal. remember, dark recesses and creates shadow and that's what you want.
Apply your makeup, with a down ward stroke. It slimss the face (well, at least it looks like it does) and put more emphasis on a good feature like ur eyes or hair so people won't notice how wide it is.
