My mom tought me lots of things....how about your mom?Makeup tricks from mom? What did your mom teach you about makeup?
She taught me that less is more when it comes to everyday makeup.
She taught me that if it looks like I am not wearing any makeup at all, then I am probably wearing the right amount.
She taught me that if you can afford 5 minutes to put the stuff on your face, you can certainly afford 5 minutes to remove it at night. If you cannot take the time to remove it, you're too busy to put it on in the first place.
She taught me that no one likes the look of chippy nail polish, and it's better to have none on your nails than to look like you don't care.
She taught me it's better to spend a little money and have quality brushes that you take care of than to have cheap brushes that fall apart and which you have to replace repeatedly.
She taught me that if the first thing someone commments on is your eyeshadow, or your lipstick, you are putting that on too heavily.
She taught me that makeup is dandy, but a woman's true beauty lies on the inside, not on the surface of her face.Makeup tricks from mom? What did your mom teach you about makeup?
My mom didn't teach me a thing about makeup.
She taught me that using a spoon can also curl your eyelashes. Is really does work.
She did'nt. An older cousin showed me everything.
She taught me NOT to separate my lashes with a safety pin because I might poke my eye out.
Yeah, NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT! To this day, I have never seen my mom outside the house without makeup! I'm the same way!!
she taught me how to add shimmer in just the right places so you look good in pictures. I danced a lot when i was little...so i had a lot of performances....and she always did my make up. I looked great on stage...and it looks great toned down to use when you know you will be in picts
My Mom always used to tell me ';You look great but you need to put on some lipstick';. Other than that she didn't teach me much. I, however, went to Makeup Artist school and now she asks me for advice. She still sometimes reminds me to put on my lipstick.
My mom always taught me to keep it natural. She said if I used too much make-up I would start to look unlike myself and use it to hide behind. (also the more make-up i use the more i would break out ha ha) Since I usually look natural, I can get more positive responses when i do put extra on for special occasions.
My mom didn't teach me anything about makeup. She NEVER wears it!! I learned from watching other people and my grandma. We always got into her makeup and used her stuff. It was fun.We also dressed up in her pearls and dresses.
Hi,
I always see what my mom do, and of course she taught me basic tatic about make up. as mummy would want her child to be a pretty princess..as we are their precious
My mom never taught me one thing about makeup... I remember watching my grandma in the morning, applying it and letting me put her lipstick on...really..I just learned on my own
I had to teach her things! Like that blue mascaras and eye shadows are very 80ies lol
She didn't teach me a thing about it BUT she does her makeup very well so I learned from watching her....=)
my mom is a klutz with makeup, so i learned not to overload my eyes with makeup b/c of all the smudging that occurs throughout the day.
i also learned that you shouldn't wear brown lipstick...like, ever.
That less is more !
their is a whole section about this in the new seventeen mag.
That less is usually better.
